Location & Getting Here:

Junction of I-90 and US Hwy 89 in southwest Montana. Nearest airport is Bozeman, about 30 minutes west on I-90.
Two of Montana's most spectacular mountain ranges-the Absarokas and the Crazies-provide a majestic setting for the Yellowstone River community of Livingston. Winter recreationists are equally drawn to the forested canyons.
 
  TRAILS:
Trails include the 20-mile Shields Loop, with Forest Service cabin rental nearby; the 7.5-mile Cottonwwood Trail; the Ibex Cabin Trail, also with Forest Service cabin rental; the Mill Creek and the Rock Creek South, with trails for a variety of skill levels.
