SNOWMOBILING IN LINCOLN

Location & Getting Here:
Lincoln is midway between Great Falls and Missoula on MT Hwy 200. Nearest airports are Great Falls, 90 miles northeast, Missoula, 80 miles west and Helena, 60 miles southeast on Hwy 279.

Start your weekend with a cup of coffee or cocoa at the Snow Warriors' clubhouse, then explore more than 250 miles of groomed trails and unlimited play areas. Eight major trails start right in town where sledding is permitted on roadway shoulders. Most trails are lightly traveled, with breathtaking views around every turn. Deer, elk and an occasional moose may be seen.


TRAILS:
Popular trails include scenic Huckleberry Pass, a tree-lined route with several play areas which connects to the Seeley Lake Trail System; Keep Cool, a scenic lake tour; Stonewall Mountain, an advanced ride with spectacular views; Dalton Mountain, an easy trail with play areas; Alice Creek, scenic territory with play areas. There are a few restricted areas, lots of play areas and plenty of variety for all ski levels.

SERVICES:
Snowmobile sales, rentals, licensed guide services, lodging, food and fuel are all available in Lincoln, Join the Ponderosa Snow Warriors Snowmobile Club at their heated clubhouse for poker runs, moonlight rides and picnics all season long. Cross-country skiing is nearby.
