| HELLROARING BASIN IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON11:30 am: Just got back from taking a few turns and checking out the US Tele races going on. As of right now, snow wise, the frontside has multiple consistencies. As you descent you hit variant stages of the snows density, up at the Summit it's more firm and fast, mid-mountain it's gradually softened and when you hit Chair 1 load area it's pretty well snow cone season. The backside has the unfaltering creamy, dreamy, dig your edges in type of snow ;)7:45 am: We have a steadily rising temperature, great visibility and some good cloud coverage. Don't think we'll be seeing as much of the sun today but that's alright, we have a 70 percent chance of snow tonight with one to three inches possible, definitely not going to complain about a few clouds - bring on the snow! :)Don't Miss OutToday is the last day for the US Telemark National Championships and the Tommy Moe Kids League, topping them both off with Dual Slaloms (Pros for the USTNC). Location & Getting Here:
Whitefish Mountain Resort is located 8 miles north of Whitefish, 23 miles north of Kalispell, in northwest Montana. Glacier Park International Airport is served daily by flights from Salt Lake City (Delta), Minneapolis (Northwest), Seattle (Alaska/Horizon), and Denver (United) and others. Shuttle service and car rentals are available. The historic Whitefish Depot is served daily by rail (Amtrak) from Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis and Chicago and points in between.
