Location & Getting Here:
Whitefish Mountain Resort is located 8 miles north of Whitefish, 23 miles north of Kalispell, in northwest Montana. Easy access from Amtrak to Whitefish from east and west. Delta/Skywest, Northwest, American West, Big Sky Airlines and Horizon Air to Glacier Park International Airport (FCA), Kalispell. Shuttles from airport and train depot available with confirmed reservations. Rental cars and taxis available.

Open daily 9:00am - 4:00pm
Night skiing late December through mid-March, Friday and Saturday, 4-9pm.

Whitefish City Information

   
Whitefish Mountain Resort (formerly know as Big Mountain Resort) is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, with new infrastructure improvements and more than $20 million invested. A brand-new Chair 1 will whisk guests directly to the summit, while Chair 2 is being upgraded to a high-speed quad. The new $12-million Day Lodge will be fully operational as well this winter. With 3,000 acres of terrain, Whitefish Mountain Resort is one of the largest year-round resorts and is easily accessed through Glacier Park International Airport, only 19 miles away.
   
   
 
 LODGING:

 FOOD AND DRINK:
 Wide variety of on-mountain dining including 2 world-famous saloons. Spectacular views of Glacier National Park from the Summit House. Find Food and Lodging around Whitefish
 
 RENTALS AND SALES:
 Basic package starts at $20/day. High-performance equipment, snowboards, telemark, cross-country, snowshoe, snow tube, snowmobile equipment available. Ski shops on the mountain offer clothing and equipment.
 
 INSTRUCTION:
 Group, private, skill-builder, snowboard, telemark and cross-country lessons. Specialty clinics include women's and men's clinics and teen camps.
 
 JUST FOR KIDS:
 Full-service day care, Snow Sports Center lessons, free lift tickets for children 6 and under. Children 12 and under stay free in all on-mountain lodging facilities.
 
 EVENTS:
 Whitefish Winter Carnival, Super Pipe Championship, Montana Special Olympics, Full Moon Dine & Ski evenings, torchlight parades, the legendary Pond Skim event and more. View Winter Events
 
 CROSS-COUNTRY:
 14 km of groomed trails on the mountain, adjacent to Outpost Lodge. Rentals available.
 
 SNOW-CAT SKIING:
 Guided Cat skiing trips offered to some of the best powder in the Rockies. Four hours of heavenly powder skiing are available for a nominal fee.
